Not only is our Special Edition Coil Swap Body easy on the eyes, it is also a real added value to our expanding fleet of own equipment. It leads to more efficient coil transportation, but it is also suitable for general cargo transportation. Furthermore the unit enables time savings with their inner height and loading space. These advantages also resulted in the unit being named the safest choice for intermodal coil transport. On top of that it won second place in the Trailer Innovation 2021 Awards in the “Body” category.

The coil swap body has an integrated coil well as well as an innovative chassis design for intermodal coil transport with a maximum loading capacity of 30 tons. With all these innovative features, the coil swap body is the first and safest vehicle with the biggest capacity. The aluminum coil well covers enable usage of the swap body for general cargo transportation with its resistance to 7,2 ton forklift capacity, to increases the operational flexibility.

Further investment in growth

As a result of the experience with Kässbohrer and this unit, Move Intermodal decided to add another 125 of these coil swap bodies to its fleet. This investment is aimed add further expansion and renewal of the fleet. It facilitates further growth in coil and general cargo transportation throughout Europe. The new batch of swap bodies will be delivered by the summer of 2021. By then the Move Intermodal fleet will consist of almost 350 coil swap bodies. Bringing the total fleet of curtain side swap bodies up to well over 800 units.
